Qtectic’s fundamental obligation during operations is to ensure that the Multiple Units and Simulators are maintained and remain available.

With the significant expansion of the train fleet an increased train maintenance facility was required and a new purpose-built NGR Maintenance Centre has been built at Wulkuraka, Queensland.

A&M Services:

Under the A&M Subcontract, Alstom is responsible for delivery of the following services to ensure Qtectic meet their A&M Services obligations under the Project Deed:

• Provision of the correct number of available Multiple Units each availability period
• Out-station mobile technicians for fault rectification and unit preparation
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Time and mileage-based overhauls
• Management of Spares (rotable, insurance and consumables)
• Mid-life refresh
• Daily train cleaning
• Monthly train deep cleaning
• Removal of graffiti and vandalism
• Corrective maintenance
• Engineering support services
• Realtime train monitoring and diagnostics using Orbita
